Cosi
September 10-19, 2020
Cosi is set in 1971 in a burnt-out and leaking theatre at the Mont Park Mental Asylum in Melbourne with the backdrop of the anti- Vietnam protests. It tells the true story of how Cosi’s writer and then novice director Louis Nowra, as part of a drama therapy project, directed a group of the asylum’s patients for their production of Mozart’s comedic opera Cosi Fan Tutte, despite the fact that none of the patients could act, sing or speak Italian!! Madness!
